MTS-ME21

MTS-ME21

Multipurpose Semi-Automatic Test System

The Test System is designed for accuracy testing (calibration, verification) of energy meters and instruments measuring electrical quantities.

Accuracy classes: 0.02, 0.05

Purpose

Depending on the modification, the Test System can be applied for accuracy testing (calibration, verification) of the following equipment:
Single- and three-phase active and reactive energy meters of accuracy class 0.05 or less accurate with input ratings up to 120A and from 100 to 400 V
LPIT-compatible electronic meters of accuracy class 0.5S (or less accurate)
Single- and three-phase meters of accuracy class 0.05 with operating frequency range up to 450 Hz used to measure active, reactive, and apparent power/energy
Voltmeters (up to 1000 V), ammeters and measuring converters (up to 450 Hz) with unified outputs
Measuring instruments equipped with AC current probes up to 3000 A
Instruments measuring power quality as applied to Russian Standard GOST R 8.655–2009
Instruments measuring DC current, voltage, and power (accuracy class 0.05 or less accurate, 100 A, 600 V).

With use of the State Calibration Scheme, depending on the modification, the Test System can be certified as a 1st grade or 2nd grade reference standard for the instruments measuring:
Electrical quantities in the frequency range from 1 to 2500 Hz as stated by Rossstandart, Order No 1436 of 23 July 2021
AC current in the ranges from 1Е-8 to 100 A and from 1Е-1 to 1Е6 Hz as stated by Rosstandart, Order No 668 of 17 march 2022
AC voltage in the ranges up to 1000 V and from 1Е-1 to 2Е9 Hz as stated by Rosstandart, Order No 1705 of 18 August 2023
DC current in the range from 1Е-16 to 100 A as stated by Rosstandart, Order No 2091 of 1 October 2018.

The Test System can be applied to calibration of smart meters (additional parameters to be measured are selected by the customer)

Modifications

The Test System includes a waveform generator (Energoforma-3.1E) and a reference standard selected among:
Energomonitor-3.1KM (52854-13)
Energomonitor-3.1KM-E (86936-22)
Energomonitor-61850 (73445-18)

The portable version of the Test System is intended for on-site testing (verification, calibration) of LPIT-compatible electronic meters of accuracy class 0.5S with integrated power quality measurement function (class S).

Error calculators VP-3.1 and scanning heads of SH series (if included in the scope of supply) provide for testing meters in the automatic mode.

The multifunctional meter suspension rack STB provides quick connection of tested meters to the test system.

An example of the Test System equipped with the meter suspension rack STB-10 (for testing 10 3-phase meters at a time):

To provide galvanic insulation when testing 5 or more meters with closed U-I links (including directly connected meters) the Test System can be equipped with isolating three-phase current transformers TTR-3.100.

To provide galvanic insulation when testing 3 or more single-phase meters of accuracy class 1.0 with closed U-I links the Test Bench can be equipped with isolating single-phase voltage transformers TNI-1.

To test measuring instruments equipped with AC current probes (split-core CTs) up to 3000 A, the Test System is supplied with calibrated coils of KT series (used to multiply test current).

To test measuring instruments with unified DC voltage or current outputs, the Test System is supplied with volt/mA calibrators Calmar-S (69182-17).

“ME-Service”

“ME-Service” is a HW/SW set expanding the functionality of the Test System by adding the function of generating test reports according to ISO/IEC 17025.
