Pulse Former (PF) is an auxiliary device for testing energy meters. PF generates pulses which are then applied to the frequency input of the reference standard.

PF works in two modes:

• Manual  - a pulse is generated every time that the user presses the button on its side (if meter disk marks cannot be read automatically)
• Automatic – PF converts pulses coming from meter’s optical (telemetry) output into other pulses that the reference standard can accept.
