The Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises has supported the project of Mars-Energo “Multifunctional reference setup for on-site testing and calibration of digital substation equipment”. The project has been awarded a grant in “Development-NTI” competition. The competition provides financial support for R&D programs related to the design and assembly of “Roadmaps” of the National Technology Initiative.

The Research and Development project will provide the solution for a multifunctional reference setup meant for testing DSS equipment at every stage – from its design, testing and commissioning up to control and monitoring of the key components of the substation:

 - electronic and digital current/voltage instrument transformers

- stand alone merging units

- energy meters and power quality analyzers with analogue inputs as per IEC 61850-9-2LE standard

- phasor measurement units.
